I am just wondering how much grease should be in the transmission?  Do you fill half way? Do you just coat the gears?   Huh Any help is greatly appreciated!

When I used grease I pretty much filled it up.  Not enough that it gets pushed out through the holes when you put it back together though.

Do you mean fill up the open half of the case?  Seems like to much could cause the gears to lock up.   Huh  Just wondering?

Probably about 90% full.  the diff is not sealed so it will leak out at some point.  I redid mine every 6-8 weeks of frequent racing.  Grease won't lock the diff even if it's completely full.

Thanks pwomble for the info.  My son and I just finished putting the grease in.  I still wasn't sure, but we had to get it finished.  I packed it in around the gear side of the case.  I may have to redo it later, but should be good at least for tomorrow's race.  Thanks again for the advice. Grin

You could also put 30k diff fluid in it to give you a little more forward bite.

I used AMSOIL Synthetic Multi Purpose #2 grease.  Worked pretty well in the race Friday night.
